Have your say ! U licenced pinball theme ideas ?
« on: March 02, 2015, 06:16:51 PM »
Have your say and share any ideas on some great "unlicensed" pinball themes and ideas you think should be made ?

We have had comic heroes and band pinballs of late, and ofcourse Zombies, and it's been a very long time since we have all seen a Brand New in Box Unlicenced Pinball title since 1999 from memory.

What un licenced theme would you like to see manufactured ?

(My ideas below of what I would like to see but pls add yours to the thread)

1. A Military Pinball machine featuring the best Military Jets and Aircraft Carriers and war tanks and everything that the World of USA Military has to offer.
You could have battles against an enemy using all your assets and win and lose assets.
It's been a long time since we have had a Military Pinball.

And I am blank for any other ideas so I am hoping to hear some other people's ideas ?  !@#

most recent non-licenses was spooky with "Americas Most  Haunted" and working on "Pinball Zombies".

also Heighway just about to do full throttle

stern won't do a unlicensed theme

reckon "Escape from Area 51" could be fun - your a alien and need to escape the underground facility few levels down and need to reach the surface and get away in your space ship. the backglass could show the levels to the surface and then space.

when did we have a military pinball (not a one off Desert Storm) in the last 40 years?

if one was to go Army, I would go Boot Camp, lots of obstacles, and target practice, and a head like Rudy (the sarge) that would yell when you miss a shot

1. F-14 Tomcat was a military sort of pin I think ?

2. The "Escape from Area 51" is a great idea.

BUT, I was hoping people could add their own personal ideas of what Unlicenced theme they would like to see versus adding the various Lexy Lightspeed which has been around for ages.

Add your unique ideas versus what the Boutique builders are trying to bring in.
Full Throttle and most of the others already known to most from the boutique try ers are mostly boring as batshit.

Never heard of the "Escape from Area 51". That is a farkin excellent theme and concept. I find fiction and Sci-Fi is so much more suited to fun pinball ideas.

Forgot to add, imagine the "Escape from Area 51" on a pinball machine almost identical to Black Knight 2000.
That higher Playfield could represent climbing levels up to the surface.
I have to say, there should be more games like BK2000 because the proper two level playfield design is sooo dam awesome.
I wish Stern or JJP did another game just like BK2000.
It is unique and it would suit a sci-fi scheme so well.

1. "Mariana Trench" - a deep sea adventure (and no, the Captain is not smoking dope).
2. "HIT World" - (Short for Hole In The World) - A giant sink hole swallows up pinball machines and you need to save them from extinction.
3. "Mission to Mars" - Space pilgrims ready to colonize the red planet.

I think that un-themed pins would give a lot of room for creativity and imagination which themed pins restrict.

Ive got a couple of pinnies in the shed that are earmarked for a re theme ( Oh god give me the time and space!).
Anyway, my thoughts were for a "Surfin Dead" which is actually the name of  a band my mate has had for nigh on 30 years... its based on surfing zombies. No real depth to the game as all I work on are EM's but figured the artwork would be cool.. chuck in a few ramps, zombie bonus points etc.
Another is a Nikola Tesla machine.. seeing as im working with EMs I can get away with a lot more static wise, so id have a mini Jacobs ladder.. some neon, Van der Graaf generator and plenty of splash on the coils!.. Free games are called Free Energy.
Game would come with its own fire extinguisher..LOL!

The Nikola Tesla machine would set a new benchmark in electrical design. No need to plug into power point as it would draw energy wirelessly. The man was a bloomin genius.

with the escape from area 51, i was thinking at the back of the playfield is like a large rotating disc playfield that rotates 120 degrees x 3, so each time you get up a level the playfield rotates 120 degrees and changes the game play a little which each part rotation.

maybe in the backglass a vertical playfield aligns for the escape to shoot a ball vertically into space.

like the surf zombie theme, would it be a dirty donny style art?????
