Space between Apron and Glass on a Stern machine ?
« on: March 27, 2015, 03:19:40 PM »
Can some one help me with a few photos and info, what is the space between the (current) Stern Apron and the underside of the playfield glass.

I am working on 2 product ideas but don't have a current Stern to measure.

So could someone please help provide a few photos of the mounting assembly of the apron that would be even better and I would make it worth while for the person that can help (a free mod once the mod is proven). I have a Stern apron and in the middle of 3D modelling but lack some of the other details.

- does the front edge of the apron sit in front or behind a bracket etc? pic looking down towards the flippers at the apron front edge ^^^
- rear shot of the apron mounted, does it sit flush with the back of the playfield? pic from above and from the back ^^^
- I know the apron fastens via to points under the apron cards, is there any of points? pick of the mounting points and maybe some dimensions while you are there ^^^

I know I am asking a favour but have few ideas, any help would be much appreciated

cheers

Jady

I can work out the post length but the one feature is the slots along the back edge are they to clear the playfield hanger brackets?

so the apron drops over the brackets using the slots, and then because the apron is fitted on 2 pots and the front edge resting on the playfield the slots fits over / around the brackets stopping apron wobble.... yes?
