Used to play WMS TRAVEL TIME in the  greasy café my mates mum worked in. Café was called "EATS CAFE" and there were stalagmites of congealed fat  on the floor where it had dripped off the corners of the cooker.
Also MONSTER GUN on Brighton Pier.

I still own a Monster Gun but sold on my Segasa Travel Time

Great topic Pete.   #*#

I remember playing Fandango at a caravan park in Rosebud when I was young.  It was replaced by a Hankin FJ which I just loved the artwork and as a kid it was slow enough for me to get more than 10sec for my 20c.

The upright video games got replaced more often, but I also remember playing Superman (Atari) and Flash was there for years.  Probably why I don't like Flash.

Later on, Terminator 2 and Elvira & TPM's at the Ringwood lanes.

Heh - think it needs to be a pin. Although... is that why you did that awesome resto on Dr Dude??
I enjoy Porsche, Gibson LPs, Bally-Williams & learning about pinball maintenance & restoration.

For me it was Flash at 1 of the local milkbars and Sterns Dracula at Ringwood Lanes. I played a lot of EM's in a pool hall at 10c a game and the guys there would often flip me a few bob to play more.

First pinball ever seen was brand new delivered 1978 Williams Phoenix at a take away shops back room.
Tech set it up n left credits on it. We played a few games. I was 8 yrs old.
The colours of this bright pink cabinet and red plus yellow Japaneese inspired cartoonish playfield was amazing to stare out. It looked like it had come from 20 years in the future.

My next game on a Pinny was 30 yrs later when I started a big collection. I missed out on the good old days that most had but reading everyone else's posts is really fun n interesting. Bought a Phoenix for sentimental reasons. It was a must have for full Resto.
Behind every garage door could be a pinball collectors
"Cave of Treasures" 55 in my collection

Into  Stern -JJP - Cars , Road Bikes- Jet Skis - Star Trek n Sci-Fi & Electronics
Beware of Stalkers & Walkers when playing The Walking Dead

My 7yr old son Hunter is my best mate in the world !

Favourite game?? there are so many but i'll list a few  :D Wasn't exactly a kid at the time, but i was about 19 or 20ish when i played Kiss for the first time at the Star Hotel in Macksville, which i used to enjoy playing during the breaks when i used to do band gigs there.

On weekends, anytime i had nothing better to do i'd do the rounds between Port Macquarie and Laurieton where there were plenty of pins to play! The old pinball parlor in Port had games like Dracula (Stern), Cosmic Princess, Hot Hand, Stingray, Galaxy and Ali, Buck Rogers, Roller Disco, Solar Ride, Countdown and 6 Million$ man, that i'd play on a regular basis. I bought Stingray from that place as my first pin in about 1988 and still have it  *%*

Heading south, in Lake Cathie i'd stop in at a small takeaway shop near the lake, that over the years had games like Jungle Princess, Pioneer, Star trek (bally), Mata Hari, King pin and Gorgar. Gorgar was probably my favourite from that place and i particularly remember that Mata Hari as someone had removed the chimes and put electronic sounds into it (sounded like early Gtb system 1 'beep beep' sound board to me).

From there i'd go to North Haven where i'd play Jacks Open and Playboy (bally) at a takeaway shop there, and finally on to Laurieton to an amusement center there, where i found Haunted House which blew me away at the time with its 3 level pf!! The had a GREAT selection of pins on offer there; Kiss, Flash, Super spin, Buccaneer, Casino, Hankin ESB, Stellar Wars are just a few that come to mind that i really liked. They also had the first Zaccaria games that i'd ever seen, Robot and Magic Castle that i enjoyed playing.

Those places are all long gone now of course, but it used to be a fun way to spend the odd Saturday or Sunday afternoon  *%* *%*
