Blender3D, POV Ray and Maya were the go a few years ago - hopefully they are still up to it.

Depedns what do you want to draw? some appz are probably too hi-tech for most peoples needs.

Anything from simple Google "sketch-up" for architectual/square/design work thru to more advanced blender/maya/3DStudio for advanced models and/or animation.
