Power Driver Board Refurbished
« on: July 12, 2015, 06:26:22 PM »
Hi Folks,
I would like to get my old Power / Driver board refurbished.
This came out of my Party Zone but It had a lot of hacks around the general illumination at J120 and G.I. at J115.
I replaced it with a Rottendog but something came up that I am not happy about so I would like to get this board back into the game.
Am not too good with fine soldering work, I would be happy to pay for the parts and time involved.
Pick of the board how it is now and how it was when I got the game.

Any help be appreciated,,,

Pinpal ....

The amount of effort to hack amazes me.
They obviously had some skill to hack that well, why not just fix it right  @.@

Yes, I didn't realize how bad this board was till I got the game home and had a closer inspection.
Got Party Zone five years ago, Paid $2,800 back then.
Had issue's with all the G.I. lamps, with all those hacks its amazing that I had general illumination at all.
If I knew then what I no now I would not have paid that much for PZ.

Mate I would suggest having a go yourself.
I'm by no means experienced but have now done various repairs on a couple of different board....touch wood... So far with success.
Yeah it's somewhat terrifying the first time you touch the soldering iron to the board, but just take your time and don't rush the flow of solder....let it heat
I fortunately had some excellent advice and support from another member, but always let me do the work, not take over.
A solder sucker is your best friend.
I'm learning and gaining confidence, and honestly feel quite happy to attack most board repairs.
Good luck, it's very rewarding powering up and all the bells and whistles light up ^^^

Hey mate, he may have to get behind me. Do you do rottendogs? Btw my swep1 has not missed a beat, that light sabre comes on right on cue which it hasn't done even from time of purchase.
