Possible Re-Seller for Comet Pinball LED's
« on: October 10, 2015, 06:24:28 PM »
Hi All

I am chatting with Art at Comet Pinball in the US and he has offered for me to be an Aussie Distributor for Comet Pinball LED's. So just touching base to see if people would be interesting buying LED's via Swinks and save on postage from the US and to receive in a few days from the time of ordering with postage charged at actual cost.

If so what products are you interested in.

Comet Pinball are quite innovative in LEDS with new ones all ways coming out with some cool ones to be released in the future and some very cool projects in the design stage as well.

Funny I was looking at these guys 2-3 weeks ago and wondered if there was a distributor in oz. So yes I'd be looking soon once I get my pf back and figure the type and colour config. Keep us posted.

Thanks Rob, will only go ahead if I get enough interest especially when Comet have a massive range of leds and some very cool ones to simulate the traditional bulbs so a matter of selecting the most wanted ones for a start.

Not sure but I think I read somewhere that the comet non-ghosting/non-flickering led's actually work in capcom's???

If anyone could confirm, then I'd definitely be in :)

Also great to hear more locals being able to sell o/s gear here :)

Very comprehensive range and some very unique products too.
If it isn't broke, it isn't pinball.

+1, I don't as a rule change to LEDs for several reasons, but in this case I'd be interested to know for the Kingpin project.

Don't want to get this off topic, but the way they look (either on or off) not appeal to me.

Every lamp to MPU controlled in Capcoms, and the lamps are pulsed like other games, they seem to always just stay on, with enough current to light a LED. I guess a resister added to every lamp might do the trick.....

I heard back from Comet and apparently no leds work in Capcom games at all.

Apparently their is a thread on Pinside where a guy called Herg has a possible $300-$400 solution.
