Hendrix Pinball - 2016 - would you get it if it was made?
« on: January 10, 2016, 09:06:11 AM »
Purely a rumour but there has been some suggestion that Stern is working on this game and Dirty Donnie is doing the hand drawn art.

Hendrix is a legend especially with his guitar work and psychedelic art so I believe if made and Dirty Donnie doing hand drawn art could be an amazing pinball.

Would you get it? answer the pole and leave a post.

2 pics below, one from a Stern insider when asked about a music pin coming up soon. the other showing a recent released piece of art by Dirty Donnie.

Mostly I like my pinball to be humourous type themes, so despite loving the music, I suspect this would not fit that for me.

Hendrix = No.

Rumored next music pin = Iron Maiden. Stern recently acquired the license.

Hendrix would be the ultimate!
Iron maiden is a easy pass, never liked them.
There is the Aerosmith rumor doing the rounds as well, another band I have never liked....easy pass.

Iron Maiden is the next music pin. Unless of course the license expires or ceases for some other reason. Aerosmith just would not do well at all outside the USA. Shit band as well..

I grew up on Hendrix and Deep Purple and all the best of the best.

My mums partner was English & played electric lead Guitar all his life and Jimi was always in our house LOUD !

Watch a movie called Jimi Plays Monterey and watch Jimi come out playing fast lead guitar backed up by drums and base only and he stated he was going to absolutely blow everyone away who had played at that concert include The Who, Joplin, Beatles and many other headliners and he farkin did !

He opened up playing his guitar like a machine gun & it was the sickest thing u have ever seen !

A Jimi Hendrix Pinball is a Definate MUST for sure !

Please someone make this awesome pinball & do a Iron Maiden cause they are good and their art is sick !

Hendrix did not play guitar to please anyone. He trod paths where no one dared or dreamed to go. He and Jimmy Page were in a league of their own and inspired many guitarist who tried to follow in their footsteps. A tribute pinball would be simply that.....a legacy to a legend.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.

Nearly all guitarists are influenced by Hendrix, Robert Johnson, B.B. King and Chuck Berry. Hendrix took it to another level - exactly as you stated - "no one dared or dreamed to go". He laid the path for Clapton, Beck and Page. They influenced Van Halen, Malmsteen, Frehley, Angus Young, Blackmore, Iommi, Satriani..  Nearly all genres which incorporate a guitar would have been influenced by Hendrix, or an artist inspired by Hendrix.

Would be an interesting pinball, and pay homage to the greatest guitarist that ever lived.

Such a great theme for pinball, it has all the elements for a killer game.
The art alone if done right would be insane.
I wonder if the Hendrix estate would sell the rights for a pinball in the first place though as it took such a long time for the family to get control back, I wouldn't blame them if they were wary.
