pinball choices
« on: February 22, 2016, 11:33:15 AM »
Looking at maybe purchasing a stern, but haven't gone through all the advertising stuff. Could people please give me some direction on which games they think are good value for money and most importantly game play.

I'm considering

The new spiderman ve
Metalica prem
Kiss prem with the hope of the coding being finished one day
Walking dead prem
Game of thrones prem or le??

Which of these games have completed coding?

I am still torn between maybe going an older b/w title too

Thanks
Still loving my Metallica Premium

All of those titles except KISS have good to great code and all are great themes :) good mix of bands and TV shows, so knowing a little bit of how you play and what you already have I'd go Spiderman VE for you :)

No problem I might add that Walking dead and Metallica might be abit brutal for you :) so I think Spidy all round is a good table with very cool artwork. Metallica I don't miss and it does have the hammer issues still but it is a great toy :) GoT just not my theme but it does have great reviews.

Good luck.

the new Spidey looks great, Ironman VE is great especially with a shaker and I am itching for a Ghostbusters.

Spidey VE will have new dots and tweaked code so a safe beat, IM is complete in code and thorough a basic game in some respects is awesome and challenging, GB is looking good and rumour is release will be in the next 2-3 days, code probably not there but reckon it will be a good seller so has promise for refined code

yeah IM is up there. I play it at a comp and enjoy it but there's none out there to buy I think

if wanting a NIB ask AMD as sure there are still some available overseas to be imported, Metallica is cool but not a fan of the music so it gets old fast for me. GoT pro was fun surprisingly at a local Timezone, but lengthy game compared with IM with anything over a 20 million or 10 minutes is a good game

The new spiderman ve - Looks like a fantastic game with the sound upgraded an hand drawn art. Code should be good.
Metalica prem - If you are a fan, a good choice
Kiss prem with the hope of the coding being finished one day - code will be finished "one day". Premium is a far better choice than the Pro. Again, you need to enjoy the music. Artwork s second to none.
Walking dead prem - I much prefer the Pro. The crossbar is a pain on the LE / Premium and the bicycle girl is fun, bit not worth the extra $
Game of thrones prem or le?? - Code is constantly updated and it still has problems. I have not played the game, but it looks amazing.

Ghostbusters - Wait for this title. That's what I would do.

Why not look at a Tron ?

Only problem with GB is he'll have maybe 18 months wait for finished code lol Metallica I agree gets old quick unless your a huge fan and I hate how you can't change songs during the game like acdc-Tron good choice but hard to find I'd say. Spidy NIB and Bruce has some coming and finished code to

How is the sound upgraded on SM VE?  It's the same audio track as the original but with different call outs?
The dots on the VE look great, I can't stand ultimate sm art, so the art on the ve is a huge fail imo. There are so many better versions of spidey than ultimate, such a shame.
Maybe this was all Marvel allowed them to use?
Buy a 2nd hand Original SM for between 5-7k and buy another game with the savings.
