t2 solenoid problem
« on: March 25, 2016, 06:27:49 PM »
While having a game, ball 2 didn't pop out of the trough. Did a solenoid test and both gun kicker and outhole coils do not fire. So I figure it cannot be a fuse. Also checked wiring and J130 and look ok. Switch for outhole tests ok and is currently closed with a ball sitting on top. Any ideas of steps I have missed in checking? Thanks

Its a write off Rob.  I'll buy it from you for what you paid initially!!!

Ball may have hung up in trough.  Small divot or similar?  Might have to remove it and give it a good sand with some 80grit.

damn I was afraid of that. I must be the unluckiest guy in town. Would $100 as a parts machine be a fair price????  *.*

Did you test for voltage at each lug of the coils? Should be around 70v. Quite possible if only a couple are not working that the power supply wiring that is daisy chained to each coil could have come unsoldered at a coil upstream of those two.

Ignore what I said rob.  Old age I thought the coil was firing!

I did as I've just started looking again and both outhole and gun kicker not firing. I loaded the gun and it wouldn't fire so there must be a wire problem between the two I think??? Will check voltages as suggested. will get back to you guys
