My first attempt at restoration
« on: April 22, 2016, 08:36:44 PM »
Cleaning some photos up on my phone and found these from around 12 months ago. It was my first go at it. The machine came in pieces all packed inside the intact but rough cabinet. Came with a nos playfield. To make it a little more special this is the game that got me hooked as s kid. Kind of wish I took more photos  along the way but still good memories.
I have trouble with putting pictures on here so bare with me.

Is there a better way to put pics up rather than 4 at a time on a reply?

@@^. The battleship pins helped me work out which holes had been done as the nos playfield had no holes or dimples.

WOW that's your first attempt at a resto?? NICE!!  ^^^ ^^^ i just wish the pictures were bigger.

Quick question; did you redo or preserve the warning text on the back of the backbox at all? If so how did you go about doing it?
Reason i ask is that i'm currently restoring an F14 and i'm nearly up to that stage, and trying to decide what to do for the text  !@#

Also with the cab art did you stencil or use decals? I decided on decals for the one i'm doing.

Yeah I can't work out how to do the pictures. I did decals on it. Was going to stencil but chickened out. The back box is all black for now. It was beyond salvage.  I'm going to get a decal for it.

Looks good but you need to find a good picture / photo manager software package that can rotate pictures. The best way to post pictures is to host them either on photobucket (or similar), or your own webspace via your provider. You can then link the photos within the post (not attach). That way you can add comments as you go along. Post the updates over time so members can see the progress and comment.

I'd love to see more photos for sure  ^^^
