New to the pinball world, xfiles flashers trouble..
« on: February 03, 2018, 07:58:28 PM »
hi all.

new to the world of pinballs and i ended up buying my first machine a few months back and as being an x files fan i decided to buy an x files machine. Anyways i started my own restoration, clean up, re- rubber and trouble shooting some playfield light issues all inwhich i have sorted out myself with abit of reading and testing but as a newbie im not to confident to muck around with it too much. im having trouble with my flashers as all are not working, i have change the fuse tested cable runs and i have come to the conclusion i feel its at the main driver board not getting power to the "flasher" terminal block... any advice on where or what i should be looking at next? any information would be great.

cheers richie

First thing to do is to download the manual from ipdb and follow the circuit to the flashers. When testing flashers, is the door open or closed ? I can't remember 100%, but do Segas have safety switch on the door disabling coils and flashers ?

Silly question time - are these #89 or #906 flashers ?
