Fluorescent to LED conversion?
« on: February 05, 2020, 10:58:44 PM »
I’d like to find an LED tube to go in the original header sockets, there are some on ebay but I’m worried about just ending up with a bright line across the middle. Has anyone got any experience with cheap ebay ones?

You will end up with a bright light through the center just like stern did.
What's the wattage of the original tube?

I’ve used the cool white led T8 tubes before, trick is to put them in backwards so the metal back is facing the translite. You then get the reflected light giving a lovely even lighting of the translite, without the bright center line. It worked great in my very dark Austin Powers
