Aussie Pinball Donations
« on: March 04, 2022, 12:02:14 PM »
Aussie Pinball has annual costs which I have paid automatically since it's inception. Initially, we had donations as we became established, from sponsors and also from generous members.

When Greg Berry passed away, I used donations in his honor for his event "The Greg Berry Junior Cup". Unfortunately, this is no longer hosted, so the balance contributed to upkeep of AP.

Here is a breakdown of Annual Aussie Pinball Costs ;

Annual Hosting $27.14 (per month) X 12 = $325.68
Codeguard (Backup and Disaster Recovery) = $384
Annual Domain Name = $24.20
Annual Private Registration Services = $14.99

Annual Cost to keep AP running - $748.47

I have personally been paying this amount since we incorporated Codeguard, and in full from 2016. That is Approx $750 (depending on $US) per year for five years.. That's completely my fault that I didn't renew Sponsors or periodically ask for help for FIVE years....

Last Month, I paid all the annual fees to keep the site running for another 12 months until Feb 2023, and there will be monthly cost as per usual.

As mentioned, I own the issue of simply paying and not asking for donations, so I'm not asking for anything other than donations to keep the site running from this year on.

You can click on the "Donations" link which is working ( I just donated to myself now ).. Any Donation will help moving forward.

More than happy to chuck a few this way s I have gained some good info and friends via this site.
Wish it was a bit more utilised like " the good old days " but it is what it is!
Needs to be more active as there is a lot of very good info and help in this forum and a lot less bullshit.

Thanks mate. I hear you. I've even neglected posting - just "life" and work getting in the way. I forget the good old times (Spamways), but I don't miss the utter BS that we had to clear out to quieten the place down !

Thank for the donation.

DONE  ^^^  Although i don't post much anymore i still check in everyday to see whats happening, haven't worked on any of my own project games in nearly ten years! Have sold several in that time and bought a few others.. two fully working machines (Gorgar and DE Jurassic park) and one project game that has been stored away.. a rat infested stuffed cabinet Sonic Faces, perfect backglass and nice playfield that i couldn't pass up for $150. It might end up as a resto thread on here one day  #@#

Thanks to all that contributed. I should have updated earlier, but we are good to go for another 12 months and hopefully beyond. @@*
