So, I Got A Tron
« on: March 27, 2022, 11:05:29 AM »
Well stuff me, i didn't know pinball could be so bloody hard.

I always said rob Zombie by Spooky was the fastest game in the house. i mean every surface is either a sling or a pop, but Tron leaves it for dead.

Most of the time i haven't even seen the ball until i hear the clunk of it hitting the trough.

It's so much damn fun though!

I thought Walking dead was a great game in the way it kicks your arse, but Tron is another level.

Can't stop pushing the start button, usually twice so i don't get surprised by the call of 'Match event.'.

I'm like...can't be game over already?

Anyone else here got one?

Billy Pearce told me the only reason anyone ever buys a Tron is so they can say they own a Tron..... %.%

Also reckoned there was probs only twenty in the country. Such a gorgeous looking machine too with the lenticular backglass.

The sound is AWESOME too, especially with an upgraded sound kit.
One of the most modded machines out there, Congrats Dude
If it isn't broke, it isn't pinball.

Yep, I have had mine from new since 2012.

It was my favorite game until Dialed In and then Iron Maiden, but that's another story.

As mentioned above one of the best sound and light packages in pinball if you have the ramp lights which you do.

Not the deepest game but it suits this game perfectly because it is so brutal! I have only been to Portal a handfull of times.

And I cannot recommend cleaning the disc regularly and changing it when it gets limp enough!! When the disc is working the way it should the ball will come out at light speed...and sometimes even spin back up the playfield before it hits anything.

The disc when it is flinging the ball around like that is one of the best toys in pinball.

Great pickup Garry, enjoy it.

If you have time to waste I made two videos of the mods I put on mine, first was in 2013 and the second was in 2016. Man time flies.

Great Score ! I played Michael's TRON at one of his meets and instantly wanted one. Brilliant machine with or without the mods.

Thanks guys, yep the spin is incredible and it walks it's way around the playfield in opposition of gravity and contempt of momentum.

Videos are private mate, but i'd like to see them.

All the mods and sound package too.

Should be fixed in my post above now, thought they were unlisted but were actually private.

Cool mate. Mine doesn't have the dolls or the moving beastie.

It has most other stuff i've ever seen for it though, the speaker panel reflects really nice and has undercab lighting and sound package.

The seller said this;

but it's got every conceivable mod. Upgraded speaker system, lenticular 3D translite, Vampire glass, Arcade mod, lit Recognizer, fibre optic ramp light, clear disc mod in the spinning disc, trough light, under-cab led lighting, Flynn lit arcade sign, sound rom mod, mirror blades, shaker motor, oh and colourDMD display. Possibly more I've overlooked but basically fully loaded.

I have come to the realization that Tron is the best pinball machine i have ever played.

I'm certainly not alone in thinking this, it's a VERY popular game amongst the Freeballers here.

Neil got the topper going the other day for me.

Starting to get my scores up there now and then, on 78m or something now and HS#1, just gotta get at the GC score of 96m yet.
