Straightening - Take the bent leg and a good leg to a panel shop. They should be able to do it easily.

Chrome plating - Can cost between $30 - $40 PER LEG. The best I've ever seen is $90 for a full set of GTB 31 inch legs.

I've used these guys a couple of years ago for zinc and nickel plating but they do chrome as well:

Quality was good and didn't take too long. They have a pretty big operation in a huge warehouse.

Precision Plating in Burwood. Haven't used them personally (got my own plater I use in SA, but my mate has and gave them the tick of approval in terms of quality/price).

About the only place in Melb that will plate plastics as well.

The chroming itself won't set you back too much depending on the quality of the substrate to begin with (rust, dents, chipped/pitted etc). As Strangeways said about $40/leg, but if you want to see yourself reflected in the leg it will cost more for high level polishing (labour costs).

Leg straightening shouldn't be a problem, but keep in mind the more they have to do to the leg to get it to "chromable quality", the higher the cost (labour cost again).

Price really depends on the finish and what you want in terms of the final product.

I'm probably missing something here like "there not original" or" there not as good quality" but wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to just buy a new set?

Some legs are difficult to replace.

New legs arnt as shiny. It's the finish we are after.

It is cheaper to buy a new set.

Original GTB legs had more shine than the reproduction legs. It is just the way they are made. I've got some re chromed 31 inch and 27 1/2 inch legs and they have too much shine in my opinion.
