Actually, that's it Marty. I just watched how it works and the tip of the wire actually pushes the ball forward as part of the action. This stops what is happening to yours (ball rolling backwards). If someone has a bit of that sort of wire I'm happy to bend one up to match, just don't have any of the wire myself.

My gate wire hasn't come yet so I stopped off at the cycle shop on the way home and bought a couple of bike spokes.  At $1.00 each they seem like a good start.  I bent one up really rough (my metal work stills are not that flash) off your pic and it is now working 100%.  I may send you the other spoke if you're OK with this and bend me one from yours?

Eitherway the gate is now working heaps - and Ni-Wumph Dave had been a great help and even re-wrote the code for BH and emailed it to me to hold gate open longer if I couldn't get a gate wire.  Top bloke  ^^^.  At this stage I don't think I'll need to change the code.

Now I just need to sort my second issue of the sound looping.  I think it may be a sound card issue as it does the same thing in the test menu.  Hopefully it will have speech soon anyway!

No worries, I've PM'd my snail mail address.

Hey Marty, twisted up a bit of wire to match mine and here is it working - so any problems are at your end! ;)

Sweet.  Did you finish up using the spoke I sent or the wire from RTBB?

The spoke. Bloody hard to bend - so it won't un-bend! :)
