Wire-forms required
« on: September 26, 2009, 01:42:15 PM »
Hi all,

I was wondering if a kind forum member could help me out? I need a couple of wire-forms for my Judge Dredd machine, nothing fancy but I don't have the skills or equipment to make them myself. Of course I will pay for materials, labour and postage, but I think it would be cheaper to do it this way then to order from the US.

The wire-forms I need are exactly like this:
http://bayareaamusements.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MX-6466-5&Category_Code=WFM&Product_Count=54

One of the wire-forms needs to go to the right of the Subway scoop as seen here:

Cheers,
Matthew

No takers?  *!@

I might have used the incorrect terminology, the "wire-forms" I require are actually "Ball guide metal rods".

Sum1 would have some outlane guide wire from an old PF that you could bend-up in a vice. You could prob do a decent job with pliers actually Matt. You can get a rounded cornerby by bending it over a piece of dowel.

That would do nicely Greg, I just hope somebody has some wire that they could part with  @@^

Hi Daniel,

According to the link I posted in my original post, the rods are 1 1/4 inch. Unless I am mistaken, I think that is the distance between the 2 holes that the rod slots into.

Matthew,

You can try your local bicycle store as they should sell bike spokes (about $1.00 each).  The size of these (diameter) should be close.
