FILLER TO USE ?
« on: October 03, 2009, 07:03:39 AM »
Need a Hard,Sandable Filler to fill these gaps -I usually use gyprock filler, but it may be too soft for this area as this is where most damage is done when moving pin. Need to use something I can source locally as I have only 2 weeks to finish it (For Tonys meet). Builders Bog ? Automotive Bog? Rapid Filler ? - Any suggestions ?  !@#

Gav,

Is that it's actual name? Available from Bunnings?

I'm about to start on the next full restore (Foto Finish from '61) and need to fill some gaps

Yeh - its called Builders Bog... as far as i can tell its exactly the same as Automotive Filler - both work well... 2 part filler - dries in 20mins and then can be sanded back. Just make sure all dust is gone from your holes or it will just grab onto the dust and then fall out

I've used Selleys Plasti-Bond for lots of things, including cab filling and even to fill the wear areas on the HH playfield. It's two part, dries hard, sands very very well.
