BOP squelch on startup
« on: October 29, 2009, 08:11:40 PM »
hey guys

silly question fired up my BOP (even though its palleted) and when i turn it on a get a squelch for a second but all is fine. same when it turns off

was wondering is this the norm  !@#. i cant remember if it was since its been a few weeks since ive given it a turn on to run it through since she has been in the shed. I had her on legs while it was getting cleaned but since has been covered and palleted for safety

few weeks it will be up on legs in my loungeroom but wondering in the meantime

i have heard other pins with a WPC mpu do the same thing so sounds like the norm to me

All WPC make a short "squelch" when they turn on - some more than others. Can be a number of things, but I'd say it is normal. If you are hearing normal games sounds etc - Don't worry about it.

My PZ thumps the speakers - then I get the single chime.

Dunno if mine is normal - but at 50% volume, it can be heard about 500m away! Never gone above that as it would fry the speakers for sure!
