Bought several glasses without incident. Mainly from Canada (Classic Playfield Reproductions) - Cost me US$145 via UPS - arrives in 5 working days.

Yep.  Thats it.

When it was in the game, you couldn't see it....First appearances the BG looked v.good.

Should be an easy fix.

Is the one you're looking at o/s NOS or repo?

it sticks out like dogs balls, left bottom corner

I am not complaining about the condition that i am recieving back glass in its. just this pin is going to be given a major rebuild and will look like new when it is finished.

it will be given a full respray and decals on the cabinet plus new what ever needs.  &&

I can only find stencils and decals for the original bk not the bk 2000

if any one knows where you can get bk2000 decals or stencils let me know please (not Black Knight but Black Knight 2000)

this is what the decals look like.

If I cant buy them I can get them custom made.(I am pretty shore it needs decals as the colours fade in and out of each other. the transformation from black to red are not a solid colour change if you know what I mean)

Mate, paying close to $400 US dollars for a backglass incl shipping seems too bloody expensive for my taste, on principal alone.
I am sure there is a translite repro like all the new translites out there for around $100 US plus perhaps $35 shipping.

* I shall try n pull a rabbit outta my hat and speak to two people i know, One in the USA i met on a forum who sourced my Viper Glow balls and another guy I know in Europe. $400 is too much Beaky.lets see what the other guys come up with.I shall look for a rabbit and a hat to help out too.

When it comes to this pin mate nothing is to much.
I am toying with the idea of a bk2000 gold.
I will photo shop the gold side rails and lock down bar and legs and will see what it looks like.
as you know this is my holy grail of pins.
I know it might sound mad but when you love a pin as i love this one then nothing is going to far. :D :D :D

What other backglasses does this supplier have. Maybe others can join in and split the freight costs???

you would have to ask them as they do not list them. its a "ask us if we have it" type of site

$400 US is too rich for my blood, most circa 1980's pinballs are not perfect...

Is anyone going to pay an extra $500 ++ upon re-sale for a pin with a new backglass?? overcapitalising in my opinion, spend $500 on another machine.

wont be reselling this pin.
also the price i am paying for the pin including the back glass is cheaper than i have seen them sell before.
buying one will be a last option. i have seen the repro back glasses that one of the fellows on this forum makes and there is a thread with how to make them. and i have the contacts with the printing hear to make one so i will follow that option first. cant see it costing me more than $200 Au tops if i get one made.
