T2 pop bumper light problem
« on: November 23, 2009, 09:37:35 PM »
OK decided to overhaul my three pop bumper as they were worn ad in a shitty condition.Took lot of photos as to make the install job a lot easier.
Well manage to delete the file with all the photo on it !!! !!!.So now i been trying to work out how the wires for the globe came apart on the playfield.Looked at the manual and have manager to confuse my self even more.
Cant trust the way they were as this machine has had a lot of dogie work done to it before.
Have supplied a drawing of what i have at the moment and i no it Wrong. Can someone with a t2 lift up there play field and let me no where Ive gone wrong.

Turned a simple job into a headache. &^&
thanks
Craig

I would say the thin yellow wire from the globe will go to a flat wire that is stapled to the playfield ,you need to complete the circuit

Thanks Gibo,When i got the machine ,all the solenoid were removed and someone has all ready done a repair to this area, as we no longer have any of the flat wire that is stapled to the play field.Just got two sets of two wires coming in and was just going to run them parallel to each other. !@#.
Will see if i cant get your other gang member Morrie to have a look at it,just giving me the shit as i just wont it all to work 100%. ^^^

hope this helps

leave the thick yellow and white wires as is.
move and solder the thick yellow wires to the same lamp as the thick yellow and white wire (on oposite terminal as per picture below)
solder an extra thin wire as per picture

all should work fine

Here's a pic of how the wiring goes

Click the link
http://gallery.myhomegameroom.com/gallery/t2_sample_misc/110_G

The solid yellow wires go in the center
The white wire with yellow stripe solders to the lead of the lower pop bumper, attached to the other side of the lamp socket

no probs john.

its always good to have a picture of the original setup.
makes it easier to see how it was before it was pulled apart.

before i strip anything off a playfield i always take photos.

makes it easier to figure out where those left over coils or screws belong.  #@#

just like putting together a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle, it makes it easier to assemble when you have the picture on the box to refer to.

and make a backup incase you delete them  ^&^ like poor wonder did.

lol
