Went to "Xanadu" kids playground in Hallam.

Has the most f***ed up Baywatch, no display, half the globes are out, can't read any of the writing on the playfield for dirt... Great machine...

Gave up on it and went and played the Sega rally twin sitting next to it, coin mech on the left didn't work, screen on the right had horizontal jitters and was moving about 6 inches left and right... Thought I was going to have a seizure...

I asked the owner (thinking they were his machines), he told me that 3 different guys come in and "look after" the machines, commented that maybe they need a new career choice...

Their website needs some work, too: http://www.xanaduplaycentre.com.au

Looks like the same dude who owns the Baywatch IMO...
Why is it called PMS?
Because "Mad Cow Disease" was already taken...

Hi there all,

Hope everyone had a good Xmas and New Year.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the suggestions for public pins in Melbourne & Sydney.
I've had a look on Google maps and think I have the addresses of places mentioned correct - appreciate it if anyone can correct any errors though.
Really must ry to get to that Sandringham Hotel as never played a real-life MM - only a Visual Pinball approximation.
The other game I'd wanna try is SW-E1 as never played a Pinball 2000 machine either, and there's no PC-playable emulation of them as yet. I'd rather it was an RFM but hey :)
Thanks again all  ^^^

EDIT: Oh- I forgot - there was large arcade in the Mall where Paddy's is last time I was in Sydney- think it was called 'Galaxy' - do they have any pins as far as anyone knows? I'll probably pop in as like vids too - and a sucker for Sega Rally 3 LOL

God, when I think back to where there were Pinballs on every corner Milkbar and Fish and Chip shop. really sad to see this list and realize just how few there are around.

Remember when you could find a Playboy or Kiss just about any suburb you went to.

Not sure about Kiss & Playboy......an age thing  %$%
Can certainly remember plenty of Addams Family & Getaways back in the UK in the early 90's though.
Well you'd be hard pressed to find any pins in Blighty now.
I think I'm blessed to be this end of the world - I get to play a TZ, FG, Flintstones, Dr.Who - and now there's a CSI pretty regularly on location.
Looking forward to Oz in general - but pins are nice bonus  () #*#

PS. When I was Googling for this forum at work I came across: http://www.aussiearcade.com.au/
Are the 2 related?

@markc: Hey! Cool - look forward to pics :)

@Homepin: I wondered if run by same persopn - as both had changing banners with some pretty cool artwork  *%*Tempted to 'borrow' some of those banners for a T-Shirt......  && LOL

I mentioned new CSI - What's others thoughts? It seemed OK to me - but the new Stern builds such as new IJ,new Batman, and this CSI seem 'plasticky' if you know what I mean? - Compared to say a couple of Sterns I've played lately - ie. an FG and Stern Spiderman.

Hi there All,

Back from the trip a week or so now - Thought I'd say thanks for the info

Out of the list provided I managed to get to, and play the following  $#$

Melbourne Pins (Missed the storm/hail by a week - looked awful).

The Lounge - Scared Stiff

Kingpin Bowling in the Crowne Complex - for The Simpsons Pinball Party - there was no Family Guy, and I didn't play Pirates Of The Caribbean.
There was a Star Wars Episode 1 but.....I left that as next to the SWE1 was a Revenge From Mars!!!  ^^^
Crown Casino Bar - Monster Bash

Didn't make it to The Cue Club in Fitzroy -so missed Attack from  - Maybe next time.

Pins in Sydney CBD:

Windsor Hotel - had TZ, NF and RS - but only No fear working, and was being reserved/played  !!!

Got out to Newtown as my other half was looking for an Ibrik in a coffee shop out that way.

Found the Court House Hotel, but she was not impressed by the rowdiness  %.%, so missed out on - Spiderman, TZ, AF, JY, Congo, etc.

However I got to the Sandringham Hotel for MM which I really enjoyed   *%*- You have to remember that these machines I played I've never played in real life before - only via simulation on Visual Pinball (Revenge excepted as I thought I'd NEVER  get to play that!)

Nice bonus was Queen Victoria Hotel on Ensmore Street - They had The Getaway (I've played this before back in the 90's in UK- a personal fave, a SE Playboy....but I left that as they had a CV! - another game I've always wanted to play ().

So thanks all - You were a great help  #*# #*# #*#

Andy
