Gottlieb EM 'Pro Football' problem?
« on: January 03, 2010, 01:39:34 PM »
As posted before xmas I have been working on a "Pro Football" restoration over the break. All is coming together nicely, however I do have a problem where the game continues to play after the (5th) last ball.
I have worked thru the schematics and checked all and have come up with no reason the problem.

The right flipper on this game is used to shoot the ball into play & this flipper button when pressed continues to fire the ball back into play when 'Game over' & "Lucky number' are displayed. (The left flipper is not powered & will not operate when the game is over). I'm not sure whether the right flipper meant to be kept alive as a attraction feature or not?

If someone owns this machine I would be interested in listening, & work thru this problem.  ^&^

Thanks

GT

There is a coil on the right hand side close to the front of the cabinet which switches the button between firing the flipper or the ball shooter sounds like thats stuck on ball shooter maybe?

When the game is started, the ball shooter does shoot the ball into play & the right flippers operates as normal. It's only when the game finishes & the right flipper button is pushed, the score motor operates (turns), closing contacts to power the ball shooter & kick the ball into play. ?????????????????? Do you know the relay label/letter ?
Thanks!

Greg

Finally sorted the problem out. Changed two wires over on the 'ball count unit' which I believed may the problem earlier. I did keep coming back to the unit after following the schematics over the last few weeks. All good now, ready to start cabinet art. *%*
