yeh, lacquered wood looks crappy. i love eltimbo's cabinet. looks amazing.

i am thinking of doing something special with my godzilla cabinet inside. photos to come.

I saw the 99 percent finished job this afternoon.

That LAH is looking bloody good i will tell ya.

Now Beaky, u can do mine for some cash since u did such a bloody nice job.

Just put that Black Knight 2000 and that Star Trek Next Gen aside, naahhhhh, didnt think ya would.

Cant wait to see the BK2000 with the new legs n brand new cabinet decals. Ohhh Yehhh.

Definetely a game that i would snap up if i had the opportunity. I played it at Bumper in Melbourne a while ago and loved it. Being a fan of the movie helps too!

I actually dont mind the Laquered finish at all, but if your interested Beaky i got a better colour match for the timber floor. I just went and picked something close last time as no amount of sanding was going to get me the result i wanted. I'll let you know the colour codes when i pick the tin up if you like.

I'm also a fan of 'raw' wood. My 2nd CFTBL was sealed by the guy who I had decal the cabinet, and I really don't like the way it looks - but to change it would be a lot of effort to most likely make it look 'worse', since I might nick the nicely restored cabinet. It's for sale anyways, so my keeper game is mine ;)

One of the neat aspects of any restoration is to see how someone else does it, at least in my eyes. We all have lots of ideas, and depending on who is looking, the ideas are great, or not so great, and usually no one of us can try everything.

We can learn through the efforts of others, which also make us think of more ideas :)

most of the assembly work has been done. i still need slingshot and return lane plastics plus drop target and spinner decals.
also the wear mark has not been repaired yet

i still need a speaker for the bottom of the cabinet + i need to install the knocker.
the pop bumpers where also fully rebuilt and a new micro switch for the spinner was installed.
i haven' removed all the dirt from the bottom of the cabinet yet.

back of cab has been repaired & painted.
legs repainted, new leg feet fited, new white stops, leg protectors painted & fitted
I still need to add the stickers

Back Box has been done, cleaned the insert and fitted back box to the cabinet, it was sanded, filled where needed, primed and sprayed with satin black.
a new sticker was made for the latch.
also new stickers for the back box insert & under the lockdown bar.
