Haunted House/Amazing Spiderman 240v conversion
« on: April 12, 2010, 03:14:55 PM »
Hi,
Hoping someone out there can help me.
I have a Haunted House and Amazing Spiderman that I need to convert to 240v and cannot find any information on the jumpering for the transformer.
The info is not in the manuals that I have for the machines, is there a supplemental manual with this info in it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as the machines have been sitting in the garage since January.

I'm based is Sydney, and have converted plenty of machines before, these are just my first Gottlieb machines.
I am pretty sure it is just re jumpering the transformers and changing thyristors.
I just cannot find the information anywhere?

I know you are talking about system 80 but I think both system 1 and system 80 can't be converted as they were wired either 240 or 110 at factory.  You may need to buy a step down converter instead.

This thread discusses the topic and explains that it can be done quite simply with a little rewiring at the transformer -
