Book 3 is excellent as are all of Michaels books. I would hope there are not pirated copies floating around. The author should be supported.

There are no pirated copies out there... but book #3 is completely sold out and awaiting next print

Yes.. its worthwhile.. all the books are.
Book #3 IS sold out.... looks like Amazon still have copies, but it is sold out from distributors.. there are no more left to supply.
If you dont want to wait for the 2nd print then purchase from Amazon while you can

The books US publishers, Schifferbooks in Pennsylvania seem to have an adequate supply.

http://www.schifferbooks.com/newschiffer/book_template.php?isbn=0764323008

As a hypothetical, I successfully added 1000 copies of book 3 to my shopping cart for a grand total of $59,950US.

Their website lists Peribo Pty Ltd as their Australian distributor.

Peribo Pty Limited
58 Beaumont Rd.
Mount Kuring-Gai, Australia, NSW 2080
Contact Name: Michael Coffey

Perhaps Mr Coffey should be contacting the US publisher for a resupply of stock since they "appear" (based on statements provided in this thread) to be having supply chain management problems (and are thus losing sales to their US competitors)?

Perhaps they are just hypothetically in the cart until you try and actually pay, or after payment you get a rejection of the order? No guarantee that the stock levels are actually audited and correct.

Amazons stock levels show only 26 new books being number 3, and apx 24 second hand.

So, it seems less than 2 dozen left, period.

Except for this:
http://www.schifferbooks.com/newschiffer/ordering.php
"Availability: Unless you find the book in our Sneak Preview section, 99.9% of our books are in the warehouse and ready for immediate shipment (the other 0.1% have sold out and are being reprinted). There is no waiting for a special order, no holding up your order until that third book arrives so you can save postage. If you want the book there is 999-to-1 chance that it will be in transit to you within 24 hours."

I guess it must fall into that 0.1% exception to the guarantee....

Pinsanity (sory, i dont know your first name-let me know so i can say hello)

the link you first gave me, infact has the info. Looking at the middle of the listing, today the new amount of new books is down to 6 or so, and the 2nd hand is apx 13.

If you look over to the far right colum of the page, it also shows a number of new and second hand available.

I am guessing by the time u read this, the new amount of number 3 avail will be less again.

regards, Brett
