Paragon Leg Colour
« on: July 20, 2010, 05:19:17 PM »
Hi All,

Could anyone please advise what the original colour of the Paragon legs were, I have seen chrome and black in pics and mine are currently grey (look like they have been resprayed)  Also what should the Lost World legs (1978) be... black ?

Cheers,
Andrew.

All Ballys of this era were charcoal black 28 1/2 inch.

When you see a Bally SS (1976 - 1982) with lighter grey, that was because the Bally EM legs were incorrectly fitted. No Bally had chrome 28 1/2 inch legs - again - These were incorrectly used from Williams sys4/6. Bally did use 31 inch chrome legs on 1960's EMs.

KISS legs always looked a little darker to me, but they were not. I must admit that over the years, some legs looked darker than others, but they all came from the factory the same color IMHO..

Thanks for the info, is there a good colour match or paint code so I can repaint the current legs.

I used to take them to a powercoater (years ago) and he would basically re finish them for me. There is a close match at one of the car shops - I'll have to have a look.
