2ND HAND DMD'S DISPLAYS
« on: July 24, 2010, 10:31:01 PM »
Hi,

Does anyone know who sells 2nd hand DMD displays that are tested and fully working, maybe a cheaper option than spending $220 on a new one.

Peter

There were a few listed a while ago from seperate sellers on eBay. They look tired !

Displays are one of those parts where you are better off just buying new. Sometimes old displays look 100%, and then shortly after - they start to fade etc..

+1 to Ninos comment displays are rarely let go fully working there usually display that have dropped a line thn been resoldered to sell.    Fingers crossed a member has a spare sitting around to sell.   Its always been something id like to get hold of just as a test display missing a line etc but they rarely come up for cheaper than a new one.

  Good luck on the hunt

I think I have a couple of bodgies lying around somewhere - I really should work out how to fire them up and see what state they are in.

A used display is false economy. No telling if they have 5 minutes left in them or 5 years.

You'll feel like an idiot if you buy a display for half the price of a new one, and it dies after a month and you have to buy another new one!

True John, but displays down under cost 250 bucks. In the good old USA they would be half that.
