Pinball price guide
« on: August 17, 2010, 08:53:56 PM »
Hi guys
What do you think is a fair price to pay for a reasonable Bally Dr Who?
By reasonable I mean an original Ausie with little or no playfield wear and a few normal bumps and scratches on the cab, all working.
AmusementWorx has one on Ebay for 4450, but i thought that was a bit dear.
Any suggestions?

Cheers Boots

$4450 is too expensive - it would want to be a 9/10 with topper and no fade on the cabinet.

Reconditioned - $2800 - $3300 would be my guess - depending on condition and what level of reconditioning has been done

Cheers Guys
I thought  that was about the price range.
I have never played one before but I have been offered one (that I havn't seen yet) for about those prices.
How would you rate the game overall?

I rate DR Who. The only real issue with it is the mini playfield. It HAS to be working 100% for the game to be fully enjoyed.

I grew up watching the TV show, so I get right into it !

Good game, Good game, Go out and thrash a simpsons pinball party,(should be one near you) there everywhere!, now look at it, if it has been put there by a real operator I't should be sad! you get the feeling of taking the glass of and cleaning it and giving it a resto on the spot!
Now that is what most Dr Who pinnies look like because they are well played.

Hint: Don't buy from a dealer unless it is ur first pin, dealers can be expensive(No Offence to the kind dealers out there) but atleast you know the pinnie will be working and in good condition, But if you want a cheaper Dr Who than 4.5k you need to buy private.

Hint: you will need to learn how to fix pinnies well if you want bargains!  :lol $#$ :lol

PS: I agree with strangeways with it being an excelent game but not very often you find one 100% working!

Good Luck  @@*
