SIMPLE FUSE TESTER DIY HANDY OR DODGY YOU DECIDE
« on: October 15, 2010, 07:53:55 PM »
Hi Guys
Im that lazy i got sick of picking up the two probes for my multimeter to test fuses so i came up with this handy\ dodgy setup below.

The first version was simply a fuse holder with aligator clips attaching it to my multi meter set to buzz

So i made up version 2      Its small and is one piece and it does not have an auto off function like my multi meter as without a fuse it does nothing you simply place a fuse across the fuse holder if the fuse is good it will buzz if the fuse is stuffed no buzz

Nice one Daniel. I was just thinking yesterday about somethimg similar to test bulbs.
So much easier just to press the fuse (or bulb) to check it. ^^^

Could quite easily make one for globes aswell. I'll throw one together to test all different globes when inhabe a minute.

As for parts list it's all from jaycar it's a 3-12volt buzzer a pinball fuse holder an a 2x aaa battery holder. Very basic

Neat-o Daniel - if it wasn't for the solder on the fuse clips - I would have thought it was "factory"...  ^^^  @@*
Why is it called PMS?
Because "Mad Cow Disease" was already taken...
