Hi guys,  Mrs Big Dog here...Cam has asked me to drop in a line or two, to express just how much I enjoyed the Pinball Expo also.  Glad you all could id us from the shirts I printed.  Never been to one of these Expo's before...thought it was great fun and met alot of interesting people.  Was a bit annoyed when playing one of the pinnies and kept getting tilted, due to the player behind my machine getting over zealous with his gaming?!!??  Otherwise a great day all up!!   Cheers Erica <..>
The Big Dog and Mrs Big Dog shirts were great - allowed me to make contact straight away. Glad you enjoyed the expo - a long way to drive.
Looks like it is pretty wet around the Big Dog's town (and north of) at the moment.
Wanted: GTB Aquarius backglass. Any playfield bits and backglasses from any EMs - nothing is junk to me.

Wow so many IT peeps here!

I'm ex-IT too :)  Started out in electronics but switched to computers in the early 90's because there was more money in it.  Made a career out of it for nearly 20 years.  by 2003 I totally lost passion for it and pursued film-making.

I'm a full-time event photographer/film-maker working from home and raising young family :)

Any of this?

Sets up machines to shred woodstock into excelsior of specified thickness: Installs knives and spurs (metal combs that furrow surface of woodstock in front of knives), using wrenches and screwdrivers. Turns setscrews and moves levers to regulate speed of conveyor and depth of cut. May sharpen knives and spurs...

That's cleared it up completely Andrew %.%

Definitely a big IT theme here.  I hadn't come across this thread before, but it is interesting to see what everyone does in their "spare time".

Shit mate, if I was you I would be bragging my hairy little arse off.  Seriously, stress of the last few months aside, you would have to have one of the best jobs going round.  I could see that it may dampen the thirst for playing machines when you can do it all day at work.  Does with me and boats, sold my personal boats and haven't driven a boat recreationally for years.

its funny how everyone thinks that the guys who work in the pin industry have the best job out.we think that, most guys in the industry dont.

When u ask most guys who work in the industry "how many pins do u have" most of them say none.
I know Mark is probably the exception because he has a collection listed, but most arcade/pin guys see the items they have as stock only, a simple means to a dollar.

i went into a sellers premises recently and looked at an amazing minty condition junkyard pinball, it had just been traded, that moning, when i remarked with enthusiasm about how good it was, the seller just said "just another piece of wood to me".

but, yes, we would all like to have marks job for a few weeks for sure ! for us, it would be fun.  ^^^
