type of wire for wiring flipper coil?
« on: January 09, 2009, 04:40:10 PM »
hi, i need to wire the middle lug on a flipper coil to the EOS. the original wire is missing. the machine is a 1970s Williams EM. I heard that i need an 18 gauge tin wire. my local Jaycar store only has 17 gauge copper wire. Will the 17 gauge copper wire work? Or else which size wire should i use and where can i buy it from? any help would be appreciated. thanks

Dont worry about it - 17 gauge is slightly thicker than 18 gauge and so can handle more current without getting hot

What I sometimes use for EOS wire is an old mains cable from an old pinball. I strip the casing off the cord and use the wires...
