Weak Pop Bumpers. (Charlies Angels)
« on: February 22, 2011, 10:02:04 AM »
 Hi All,

Can anyone tell me what is most likely to cause weak pop bumpers. They move slowly and don't seem to have any real thump. The best way to
describe them is very sluggish.  (((

Any advice will be greatly received.  Cheers Paul

Clean the switch contacts. Re-gap if necessary. You should notice an immediate improvement.

I did try cleaning the switches and it didn"t seem to help much. Is there anything else i can do? If a solenoid is bad does it still work?

A simple test would be to actuate the switches by pressing on the bumper skirt. Sometimes the bumpers are more powerful when pressed on a certain side of the bumper. This would mean the bracket holding the bumper spoon switch is out of adjustment.

You may need to adjust the switch under the playfield.
