Hello Aussiepinballers
« on: March 16, 2011, 02:08:35 PM »
Hi, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Gary & have been playing pinball since 1972.  I have been collecting EM Gottlieb pins for about 13 years.  Between my 3 brothers & I, we own over 35 machines. I would enjoy helping anyone with techincal/troubleshooting issues on any EM Gottlieb machine & maybe system 1 through system 80A. I was an electronic technician in US Navy for 6 years followed by a bachelors (4 year) degree in electrical engineering. I have recently written 40+ page documents on the theory of operation for specific machines such as Target Pool, Egg Head, Spirit of 76, Top Card, Golden Arrow, Sure Shot, Mayfair, Spin-A-Card, & Hi Dolly. Please feel free to contact me here in the states.

BIG   $.$ and  %)% to Aussie Pinball !

That is a very interesting intro post  ^^^ 35 machines sure is a healthy collection of pins and I'm more than curious on your "Theory of Operation" documents. Is that similar to Clay's guides ? Sounds more "in depth" !

Hope you enjoy the forum !

Wow, great intro, and I know you'll be more than welcome here with the amount of love around here for the old Gottlieb games (including me).

Very generous offer as trouble shooting EM's can be pretty difficult.

Hi Gary and welcome aboard!  35 Gottlieb EMs ........... drool, drool.  I also grew up in the 1970's era of pins, and the attraction of EM is very much still in the blood.  I always found Gottlieb's to be one of the more challenging EMs, but one of the greatest draw cards for any EM fan.  Would love to see some pics of your collection.
