Talk to the IT guy?

Maybe you should be working instead of browsing the web?

Get an iPhone?

There are ways of doing it without changing settings on the computer, which involves using a proxy.  However most workplaces have these rules in place for a reason and bypassing it may end in trouble which you don't need...

I'd buy one of those little EeePC's or an iPad and browse via it on 3G and you're not breaking any rules or regs that way.

I would tell them to get farnkarkled and get a new job - - but then, I haven't had a boss for 30 years so maybe you shouldn't listen to me....

It might not be "just" AP - It could be a "forum" based policy. When applied, you cannot browse "any" forum like AP, RGP, Bigfooty etc etc.

Yeah my work blocked it awhile ago as well  ^.^
It used to get it at work, so obviously the amount of info/pics downloaded from AP was watched and they thought it was too much.
Not too long after they took internet access off me completely.
I only just got internet access back recently but still no AP  @.@
I must be a bad boy, looking at these pinball thingys  *)*

Best thing I can think of is take your laptop and use a 3G wifi dongle or get an IPhone/IPad with a 3G connection...
It all depends on how desprite you are and how much time you wanna spend...
if its only 20 mins a day of something could you buy a plus pack through you service provider for your mobile phone...
I dont think you could use the work computer, IT administrators usually put strict user rules on work/school/libary computers ect.. The IT administrator may be able to come up with an agreement but dont abuse him :S... It may just get you fired! *.*
I do suggest a 3G Iphone as number 1... but then you think about the $'s
well good luck <.>

Invite the big boss over for some games of pinball. Get the. I. T guy over as well. Make them pinball fans. Then show them the website. I bet it won't stay barred for long.  More than one way to skin a cat.

Same thing happened to me, can't look at any pinball forums despite the fact that I spend alot of time away from home and sit in a motel room bored to tears.  I used to access the forums predominantly after hours and I also used to access my work emails at the same time so work got something out of it as well.  Now I don't bother taking my laptop with me and only check work emails about once a week when I get to the office.  The wireless connection costs them a fair bit of money and doesn't even get used anymore thanks to their stupid policy.

Better still - get a phone with Wi-Fi and you can browse but don't have to put up with the CR*P dished out by Apple.....
