G' day everyone
I look forward to meeting & chating to fellow pinheads & being an active member of this great site.
Well my addiction started at a very young age when my old man use to take us to the local watering hole (yes, I have 2 passions now
) before he even had a chance to park the xp falcon in the car park, I'd be on to him for his loose change.
Off I'd go on my trustee sufa sam to the corner milk bar & in the corner sat captain fantastic & a surfer, I'd spend hours down there, if I wasn't playing I was watching the older kids rack up free games, wishing I could play as good as them.
Latter as a teenager, I 'd catch a red rattler into the city with a few mates & play the latest machines in & around George st at the usual pinny parlours (central, crystal palace, humprhys, hoyts) thats when $20 would buy you a movie, a feed at maccas, plenty of games & your fare home, "the good old days"
I purchased my first machine in 1980, mint condition volley for $150 & have been buying & selling ever since.
I currently have my machines in storage (hope the red backs are taking good care of them) as we recently sold our property.
My plan is to build a you beut shed with a massive games room in our next project just north of Newcastle.
I will keep you posted when things are nearing completion.
I also welcome any fellow pinhead travelling up or down the coast to call in for a game & a chat when everything is sorted, as we will be situated close to the pacific hwy.
