i'm gonna plunder a guess at saying 4 ball. Itchy and Scratchy is usually two ball. So ball in play +1. If you have three ball multi going it will add +1 to make 4 ball multi.

Always thought it was  5 balls but it is 4 balls  with both going at the same time   i love when i get both   great fun trying to keep all 4 balls in play
best when  first u get multi ball (3 balls)  the ball save runs out  then u get itchy & scratchy  1 more ball & more ball save time,  best to go for the living room for a coutch mega JACKPOT !!  one of my favorite games
