Coconut Island Cabinet Art
« on: February 07, 2009, 02:25:06 PM »
First up I would like to thank the Coconut Island guys for asking me to help on their project. Its certainly attracted plenty of attention in the pinball community and its great to see them having a crack at what is understandably a very difficult project.

This is the 3rd revision of this art.
Let me know what you guys think and if you think I should change anything, speak up!

The front still needs a tree or 2 as well.

I haven't done the head box yet but it will only be a Palm Tree with a Flare.

:D

Unbelieveable work. Awesome. Puts a lot of the big boys cab art to shame.

That is simply stunning, Spacies  #*#

It suits the theme of the game and also compliments the vibrant colors on the playfield.

It puts the recent Stern Cab art to shame.

My only question - The game is called "Coconut Island" - But where are the coconuts ?  !@#

Edit - The Coconuts are there (brownish color) - But were not easy for me to find.. Maybe lighten them up a bit or put them in front of the grass ?

My wife says that you should "cut the grass"  %.% , Then they can be seen better..

I think the topper is a lawn mower, so just ask the boys if you can borrow it  !^!

Don't worry Mark - My missus spotted them, after reading my post - So I did get a slap in the back of the head.

In my defense, I was blinded by the quality of the rest of the images...

Spacies - how long did it take to do ?

Hey thanks guys.

I just made some changes. I cut the grass to expose the coconuts some more. Moved the grass, sand, water down a bit as well.

Added some things to the front as well.
Don't want to make it too busy :D

How long did it take? You don't wanna know bro :lol
