Fairly New Stern Pinball
« on: January 10, 2012, 08:58:13 PM »
I get my Stern Iron Man in a few days and was wondering how do you care for the these fairly new machines playfield's as they do look like a large sticker with a matt CC on it. Is this the case?

I will give it a good play and then want to clean and polish as it has been sited and played for 10 months I think but want to protect it so it lasts for a long time.

Does anyone know what the finish is on the playfield?

What is the best products / techniques for cleaning and protecting?

Well out of the last 4 NIB Sterns I've personally inspected, if they were mine or a good customers machine I'd be removing the playfield, fully stripping and clear coating.  The factory clear is so thin its almost non existent.   ^.^

I have used novus 1 mostly and mr sheen a couple of times...pf comes up great.
I use Novus 2 on the ramps and then Novus 1.
i find no need to strip it and wax it or anything like that...it's fast enough as it is!!
Are you enjoying the new addition Jady?
