Stoked - new venue in town
« on: February 01, 2012, 12:40:07 PM »
There is a place that opened up locally called Pinball and Pizza, which is pretty cool, then a friend sent me this today to tease me while I am resting after my surgery.

Attached is an article of the new local place that I have heard of but haven't had a chance to get to - yet, but more interesting was at the very end they mentioned tournaments to get International ranking.

Does anyone know how this ranking works as have heard that Sydney's RGR is invited to the USA for some sort of comp but do not know anything else.

You can follow them on wastebook, just search pizza and pinball.

I read they are the official sponsor of pizza to 'Spookys Pos Casts'.  *)*

Would love to see something like that down my way. Keeping my eye out for an opportunity to hook up with someone in the food trade, one day!!

all pinballs set up with the NEW tournament mode software from STERN/AMD will be eligible to get u into the world rankings etc etc etc. (AC/DC and Transformers to date only)

Most operators will set up Tournament mode , if they are switched on, by getting Norbert from AMD to help, which is what the meeting was last night at AMD with Norbert hosting it. and Norbert handed out software USB sticks to us all with the entire presentation on it.

anyone wanting to get involved with the pinball comps and rankings etc, shld contact Norbert who will hook u up with the pinball comp organiser in Sydney.  ^^^

Same guys that bought my Power Play.  Really top guys, was a pleasure to chat with them, and it would be great to visit this place.

The Power Play is in the function room and is a great game.
Pizza's are all named after pins and I can also vouch for their size and taste...fantastic

The pizzas are great and so are the guys who run the place....they are both very good friends of mine.
I'll be at the comp on Saturday night , and as far as i've been told the machines can be of any age to get you into the rankings.....they don't need to be the latest models.
There are several up and coming approved tournaments in the near future....you can check the calender here..http://www.ifpapinball.com/calendar.php
Paul "Rollerball"  is hosting another one in a few weeks time which i'd also like to get to if i can find the time.
