« on: February 22, 2012, 09:24:14 AM »
Hi all
Wondering if anyone has a metal transformer cage for an early Bally SS lying around that they are willing to sell.

2 would be better

Also looking for the plastic rectifier board cover as well

Note that if the Bridge rectifiers are upgraded to the 35A 400V versions, then the shield is useless as it no longer fits. That's why I have so many spares leftover. Happy to some your way if you like ?

Aaahh - good point Nino.  I would imagine that Beaky has done that so therefore no need for the plastic cover.

Still searching for the metal transformer cages though

Can I jump in here please (apologies)? I'm looking for two of the plastic "hinged supports" that hold the plastic shield in place over the rectifier board. (Part No. M-1829-4).

If anyone has some please PM me (so we don't clog up this thread). Thanks.

Jango will be needing a wire cage for a paragon. as per the picture. I have not done the rectifier board up grade yet but i will be soon.
Will the cage be of any use in this application after the upgrades are done Neno?
I have done the upgrades on both space invaders machines

Andrew, the cage is required on the Paragon and for any Bally with the transformer mounted in the head. Space Invaders has the transformer in the lower cabinet. The upgrades to the rectified board only affects the plastic housing, which can be discarded.

thanks Nino
I assumed that's how it was, just wanted to confirm as Jango needs one for his paragon.
Some one has changed the mounting position for the rectifier board on his paragon, or has replaced it with one from another machine, see photos.

Do you think you will have a cage to suit this set up Nino or would Jango need to have a custom one made?  !@#
