Considering WOZ machines hadn't been completed (or sent out), you wonder WHY JJ has moved onto developing Hobbit so quickly, other than to cash in on the movie release date.

So, did everyones WOZ deposits now become the finance to get Hobbit on the production line....now he's 2 machines behind....

I'm sure deposits for the Hobbit will next used as funding to release their 3rd title....stay tuned.

Greetings Pinball Fans,

This past week was especially busy and productive for JJP!

We started in Las Vegas at the Nightclub and Bar show. We were invited by our friend and JJP supporter Brad Burdsall, who exhibited at the show introducing his new Habla Diablo Bloody Mary Mix which received an awesome response. We brought a 75th Anniversary Edition WOZ which was virtually played nonstop. Many of the bar owners in attendance commented that they did not know that new pinball machines were still being built. Certainly being at this show with WOZ was worthwhile.

Brad Burdsall and Jack at the Nightclub and Bar Show

Jack continued the week with a visit to the JJP Midwest Campus. There he played the current updated Hobbit Whitewood. Jack said "I was very happy with the progress. The Hobbit has a very challenging playfield with a lot going on. This is a big strategy and battle game. It is a much different shooting game than WOZ, I am very excited to see the finished product!"

Graphic Designer/LCD Artist, JP De-Win has been working very hard on The Hobbit Pinball as well. View the video below to see a glimpse of the progress he is making. We expect another Hobbit update soon.

Be sure to set the quality to 720p

Jack then visited with Pat Lawlor at his design office to see the progress on his game. Pat also invited Jack to his home to learn more about his new game and to check out his pinball collection.

The week continued with the Texas Pinball Festival. Lines of people waited to play WOZ. On Saturday evening Jack and Butch Peel spoke. Click here to listen to their PinChat -

JJP also released the final version code 3.0 - the download is on the JJP Support Site.

Every day, Jersey Jack Pinball continues to build and ship games. More and more games are getting out there and it's great!

White wood video release.

The top flippers don't seem to do to much. Would be better if the top flipper had ramps to shoot for. Seems a little slow.
Still early days a suppose..

And with MM style pop up trolls.

Even with LCD innovation, it shows where pinball is heading.

JJP released its new Hobbitt pinball machine last night in the USA.

See the JJP website which is also been updated and look at www.pinballnews.com.au and look at the latest pinball expo for detailed photos of the Hobbitt and Hobbitt LE and the NEW Gold edition Smaug model which is only on sale from last nights date to December 31. JJP says it will not sell the Gold edition after the 31st Dec which I think is a big mistake. They have no min or max numbers for the Gold edition. What they sell between now and 31Dec will be it.
Personally, leave orders open ended and let people buy what they want. Minimising the time to order might get committment now, but it loses sales later IMO.

The Hobbitt models look fantastic. However, the weird boring wood stained map like pinball apron looks dreadful and makes the playfield look really small. It just might be the photos but we will all have to wait and see what the finished products look like in person.

Overall, JJPs new model looks great. Dying to see the pinballnews site do its 100 photo expose etc.
Prices start at $8,000 USA in USA and go up apx $500 for the LE? And a $9,000 for the Gold Edition Smaug model.

I am not sure what the Wizard of Oz current prices are ? In comparison,,,,
Also, I note that JJP is offering FREE upgrades/factory MODS on both the WOZ and Hobbitt models when u order. It basically looks like u can get about $500 to $1500 of upgrades if u order and pay I think $4,000 USA deposits.

Anyway, good news for pinball and JJP.

Perhaps another member who isn't finger typing on a I.Phone can add all the new JJP photos of the various Hobbitt photos on this thread. I guess we will find out Aust pricing sooner or later IF there is a trustworthy Australian approved JJP Dealer.

Anyone got any feedback on the new Hobbitt and the various photos on the JJP or pinballnews website ?
Anyone on AP ordered one or looking to buy a WOZ since JJP is now doing much better deals ?

I can't work the apron out at all. Its massive and it seems to use a lot of the playfield space.... Wanting to see if playfield is as big as the WOZ.

Does anyone think JJP should do Std body games as well as wide bodies.

It might be a way to compete with Sterns $6900 to $7100 Australian Pro for those who don't want to spend well over 10 grand Aussie.
Something I also couldn't get my head around was this std replaceable sideart versus the extra thick sideart as an upgrade ? But the question is, why do u need thick versus thin etc ? It's like the thin won't do the job ? But we all know it will ofcourse otherwise JJP wouldn't use it... So why offer thicker sideart for the home market or even sited machines? Maybe a email to JJP to ask the benefits or reasons why someone should go to the thicker sideart etc.
There probably is a few great reasons and it will be good to get educated on this.

Either way, the WOZ machine is a beautiful machine and the Hobbitt should also be a beauty as well.
I think anyone would be proud to have a JJP widebody in their home.
Unusual apron on the Hobbitt aside, I am dying to see this model in person.

Does anyone know how the WOZ machines are doing on site maintainence or reliability wise ? Someone said the WOZ at Timezone was taken away because of breakdowns but I have no facts ? on that.
I have a few friends in the USA with WOZ machines who have never had any hassles at all so wouldn't mind hearing about anyone else's  friends or experiences.

That apron looks much much better.
Playfield art looks excellent.

Anyone ordered this new model or a WOZ ?

Hope JJP keeps pumping out heaps of both models.

Is JJP making a profit yet or doing its arse ?
So many different stories floating around. It would be nice if JJP kept healthy and alive forever.

Stern has lifted its game. JJP is doing great things but it seems pace is very slow.
Is the 3rd Lawlor unlicensed title going to be a flop or a hit ?
Seems sometimes that unlicensed pins can be bland or don't seem to have as a specific direction than a movie pinball ?

Anyone want to predict the JJP future ?

Is Jack getting rich or gambling bigtime ?

Is there a current Aust JJP agent ? Or even a trustworthy one ?

Interesting topics perhaps ...... ?

I was surprised with WoZ that the distributor did not make a effort to sell the game on either pinball forum
it seems that we do not matter to the new distributor either

It pays to advertise. Not telling the hardcore pinball collectors who are certainly on the pinball forums is a silly decision.
Some people just don't have a clue when it comes to running a business and are sadly lacking in marketing skills which drum up the lifeblood of any business, sales and new customers which then turn into repeat customers.

JJP/Jack should invest some time into the Australian market.
If Stern can sell an easy 500 to 2000 ?? Pins each year easily down under, then JJP could also do similar figures with a trustworthy agent and some basic marketing.
No one can tell me an extra 500 or 2000 sales wouldn't dramatically and positively do wonders for their WOZ or Hobbitt production lines....
