exceptional scenery.

just got a few open ended questions. !@#

given that the Lord of the Rings movies, were all extremely LONG LONG LONG LONG movies, with a storyline that DRAGGED DRAGGED DRAGGED on forever, how can this new movie be anything DIFFERENT enough, not to make it a "snoozefest ho hum been there done that already" concept. Is the HOBIT the kids version movie if one was to argue the LOTR triolgy was slanted towards teenagers/adults ? (everything i saw in that location youtube video i have seen done fifty times in LOTR, 1 , 2 and 3) Snrrrrrrr fest !

how is anyone going to make a pinball that doesnt look n feel like Stern's LOTR, version 2, done 5 yrs later with a LCD screen thrown on ?

me thinks the movie and pinball industry needs NEW material.

But, if JJP does a HOBIT pinball, and its exceptional, then it will probably sell to addicted pinball machine purchasing types. yours truly potentially included. lol  @.@ %.%

The budget must be enormous! I guess it is two movies, but still, employing how many people for the best part of a year, transport costs and so on.

So much innovation going on the designs etc but someone forgot to put the thinking cap on to sort out some decent titles.
Woz is a bad enough theme for mine  but the Hobbit... @.@
Whats next.... gone with the wind?

Forbidden Planet would be great or the original The day the earth stood still, a CFTBL remake/re-imagining, Invasion of the body snatchers, Day of the Triffids, The great escape etc etc...all cool retro titles.

IF the HOBIT movie was made with a very "dark" theme, aimed at Adults who like "nasty blood n gore" with scenes that show blood n gore, like a brood of say 8 nasty witches, having a nasty battle with 6 Ogars, whilst humans are stuck in the middle etc, and the thing was "nasti-fied" right up, with action, a fast pace, and just something very very special (and 10 scenes in the movie like the one mentioned etc), then it would make for a even better pinball title (and movie). Also, a storyline that has 10 different war-ing parties, who are all enemys of each other, at each other, or trying to get each other. Thats the action we want.  ^^^

I cant remember the last time i walked into the picture theatres and sat down, and was completely blown away in the first minute or two, with hold onto your seat action that made me say "fark, this is going to be a really really cool movie".

WHY are we lacking that in today's movies.  !@#  what happened to hard n fast raw action with a a really really inventive creative storyline with twists and great dialogue.

The artwork on the Hobit Pinball by JJP shld be amazing. I want to see something with artwork that u see handdrawn in the best comic books on the planet. that will get my blood flowing along.

It is based on the books that are a prequel to the LOTR trilogy. There will be no obtuse use of blood and gore, these are fantasy stories like LOTR and are aimed at most ages.
This movie has had more dramas than the Labor party....NO-ONE  wanted to commit to direct, it has had more possible directors linked to it than you can throw a stick at. Jackson only ever wanted to produce it but had to step in to direct otherwise the entire project was going to be shelved.
I think the movie will be a big turkey after viewing the trailers but it does have a very big and nerdy fanbase that will flock to see it regardless becuase of the LOTR series.
