Excellent and thorough write up and very "enlightening"

I was ignorant of the blacklight/glowball effect which sounds really awesome.
Never actually seen one of these in the flesh, I suppose their rarity accounts for that.
I will certainly play one now if the opportunity arises.

I believe the glo-balls have a coating of fluorescent rubber on them, in conjunction with the lighter weight (due to a slightly smaller diameter steel ball) which gives them the "bouncier" playing properties.

There is talk of backalleycreations reproducing them - he has a used one which has been broken down to determine the fluoro rubber compound properties.

I think its a rubber glow paint from Dulux, but it has something in it which works with the blacklights on the game, therefore making it special, and not just a run of the mill typical paint number that is easily found ? maybe the process of making it stay on the ball is half the secret.

Re sales prices, I have seen apx 3 Viper Night Drivin's sell in Australia, and one went for $5,000 a year ago and it was in excellent condition. Another went for $4,500 here in QLD apx 6 months ago, and another sold for $4400 in melbourne apx 3 months ago. They were all brought in from overseas in containers over the past 12 months.
The market is up n down, so i wouldnt expect to see one go really for less than apx $4 grand. It is a unique game, and the adult speech rom and the glow balls plus the audio, and only 1100 units keeps the price pretty stable. I will keep mine forever. They are very popular in the USA with car enthusiasts. There is plenty to do on the pinny, so it doesnt lack gameplay at all because it has a car theme.

I have the flyer for the game(so thanks anyway for the kind offer). U can see how the dirty balls look like bids eggs with the spekkles when they get dirty.lol
