Some Operators ???!!! AC/DC re-worked
« on: March 12, 2012, 06:47:10 PM »
Bernie_Ramone from another forum listed this photo of a AC/DC at the Surfers Paradise - Timezone with modified AC/DC.

Theory is remove the flippers rubbers and it may play slower.... WTF

As well as when it first went in had a flag screwed to the side of the backbox.

No mirror blades.

It is the playfield glass reflecting the Tron machine next to it.

If it had mirror polished stainless steel sheets on it, the effect would be a lot brighter than that.

it is at Caville Ave and no, no mirror blades just a semigloss black reflection. Bernie couldn't believe what he saw.

The guy is a tool, the flipper bats will be trashed in no time.

This sort of BS should be reported to Stern / AMD. The operator should have his license revoked.

What kind of complete and utter fwit would remove flipper rubbers ? I've NEVER EVER seen or heard of them falling off a game  &^&

hmm if he wants the game to play slower why doesnt he hit the playfield with 40 grit sand paper and use cubes instead of balls???

maybe he got those invisible flipper rubbers thrown in free when he swapped his donkey for a magic bean???

I couldnt help myself, I rang the Manager at the Timezone. Its 15 mins from where i live.

He said that they were cleaning the machines today, and the rubbers SHOULD be on the machine ofcourse always unless someone forgot to put them back on.  @.@ @.@

He rushed over to the machine, and has reported that they are NOW been put back on, and brand new ones at that. He appreciated the call and the machine is now fixed.

thank god it wasnt left like that..... :D

Hopefully thats the case, but Bernie played it and reported it 24 hours ago so it was longer than cleaning machines today.

Did you tell him that lots of people on forums have been taking about it?

had flipper rubbers on it a few weeks back, never seen that before up there
they had unscrewed the flag and mounted it on top of the headbox, where
it should have been in the first place

They also mentioned that all of the pins would be cleaned after the school
holidays which I then wondered which ones, as the last finished a couple
of weeks before I was there.

Anyway, at least there is a few late moded pins sited on the Goldy

I just asked the guy if the ac/dc was rubberless or fixed. He went n fixed it.   He was only a teenager, but said a machine without rubbers was stupid. He agreed it shld never be like that.
