Newbie on the hunt for my first pin: Funhouse
« on: March 21, 2012, 08:11:20 PM »
Hi all,

Just a quick hello to introduce myself.  Played a lot of pins as a kid and only recently got the urge to relive my youth.  Been doing a lot of research recently trying to narrow down potential machines for my first purchase.  Loved T2 as a kid, but played it to death.  Taxi and Whitewater have been high on my list but I think I've settled on another; Funhouse.

I'm now keen to get my hands on my own.

Feel free to say hello and point me in the right direction if you know of one.

Cheers,

Flynny

G'day, nice choice of game
Funhouse is great to play, they come up for sale often so you should not have to wait too long

bear in mind that White Water (the name is usually shortened to WH2O  #@# )is also a fun game if one comes up before FH (Funhouse)

Whitewater had me very interested straight away.  There have been a few pop up, but for me WH20 feels slightly stagnant and the shots appear quite similar though.  it is a very impressive looking machine though.

Funhouse just feels right :)

I'll check out Nino & Guru and see if theirs are on the table.

Haven't seen your offer Studley but keen to talk shop.

Thanks all for the warm welcoming into your community.  Hope to chat more over the years.

Your intentional/unintentional? quip that a machine about fast flowing rapids turns out to be little more than stagnant water.

Don't mind me, I have a warped sense of humour.  ^^^

Aah yes, my humour precedes me at time  %.%

Is it just me, or do you feel the same way?  Maybe I have't played it enough.

Welcome Flynny.
You will find a FH if you just remain patient - as other said they do come along every now and then - pretty cool game  ^^^
WH20's are for sale more readily - but often in VERY average condition and they take a bit of cash to 'get nice' again.

I know the impatience of this hobby and I can see you grabbing a WH20 because you wont see a FH for sale......then after you outlay your cash on WH20, along will come 3 or 4 FH's for sale ......and then you grab that too.....and your HOOKED  :lol

Sounds like you're talking from experience  *%*

Taxi may persuade me to jump the gun, but I don't know if WH20 would, may need to clock up a few more games.  Pretty content to wait it out, but patience is not virtue I'm known for  ^&^
