My pinball collection.
« on: February 24, 2009, 09:19:54 PM »
3 COINS  Williams (USA) In storage, working.  Nice game for it's age.

4 STAR  Williams (USA) Set up, needs some work Backglass sealed in 2 pack to protect it from further paint loss, nice original cabinet & playfield

ADD-A-BALL  Williams (USA) In storage, waiting for restoration  New backglass, game needs complete restoration.

APOLLO  Williams (USA) Set up, plays! My all time favourite game & GTB's Buckaroo too! New backglass fitted.

BANK A BALL  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays!  Very good , original condition, plus a new backglass recently fitted.

BOWLING QUEEN  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays!  Cabinet needs painting to correct colour scheme. Backglass now has a new reproduction to go in when I have got around to sealing it first.

BUCKAROO  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays!  My favourite machine. This one is nice and original, and also has a repro-backglass fitted to make it look nice.

CENTRAL PARK  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays!  Nice, original example of a classic animated game.

COMBAT  Zaccaria (Italy) Set up, plays, etc.  Excellent condition throughout, this machine has seen very little use.

COVER GIRL  Gottlieb (USA) In storage, waiting for restoration  Currently being restored and featured in Pinball Wizard magazine and also on www.classicpinballs.co.uk. I urgently need some parts for it though, so if any of you have anything at all that might be of use, please get in touch.

CROSSTOWN  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays!  I own three of these, two have new reproduction backglasses. I will eventually sell two of them off at some time.

CROSSWORD  Williams (USA) Set up, and plays well.  Lovely original machine.Nice playfield and backglass, complete set of reproduction pop bumper caps just fitted plus a new set of rubbers.   I'd consider a trade for this against a Woodrail Gottlieb, or even an outright sale. Get in touch if you fancy this machine.

DANCING DOLLS  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays!  Just had a reproduction backglass fitted, playfield needs some restoration & then have some reproduction PF plastics fitted that were kindly supplied by an Aussie collector friend of mine. This is the last light-scoring machine that Gottlieb produced, before then went over to reels.

FASHION SHOW  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays! Another nice 2 player game. In very, very nice nice condition throughout. Perspex backglass, will consider selling this one.

FATHOM  Bally (USA) In storage, working  Has reproduction playfield & a NOS set of plastics too. New coin door. I am now thinking of buying a set of stencils to restore the cabinet. Backglass is an easy 9/10, so the game will look almost new.

FISH TALES  Williams (USA) In storage, working Good playfield & translight, perspex dome is damaged by fixing holes, typical cabinet fade. Good fast playing machine otherwise.

FISH TALES  Williams (USA) Set up, plays! Above average example, was in mint conditon until it's cover slipped off during the last hot weather and the sun has faded the l/h side of the main cabinet about 20%! A very good machine otherwise.

FLYING CHARIOTS  Gottlieb (USA) In storage, waiting for restoration  Rare 2 player machine from the early 60's. due for restoration during 2009.

GIGI  Gottlieb (USA) In storage,  to be restored during 2009, time permitting.

HI DOLLY  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays! Very nice original condition throughout. Currently for sale, check my website for info, etc

HURDY GURDY  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays!  Awaiting some parts to make it work properly [it begins to count backwards!], the machine will be set up next to its replay cousin, Central park when its running properly.

ICE REVIEW   Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays!  Nice original machine, will be having its head unit paintwork restored soon.

ICE SHOW  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays!  Rare, add a ball of the popular 'Ice Review' game. My fit this one with a new backglass, seeing as Ron has just done some of these.

JUNGLE LORD  Williams (USA) Set up, plays!  My first electronic game. A family favorite, and loved for its speech features! This is one of the more common blue cabint games.

KING OF DIAMONDS  Gottlieb (USA) In storage, waiting for restoration  Due for restoration during 2009, new cabinet stencil kit purchased for it so as to get the graphics 100% accurate. Two in stock at the mo.

KINGS & QUEENS  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays! Lovely, original condition.

MAGIC CITY  Williams (USA) In storage, working. New backglass just fitted, really does look nice when lit up at night.
 .

MAYFAIR  Gottlieb (USA) In storage, waiting for restoration Good original condition, backglass original perspex type, which I've sealed with 2 pack lacquer. Game needs a throught clean & tune it, due to it being dry stored for many years before I bought it. Hopefully ready at end of 2009 so that I can sell it.

NITRO GROUND SHAKER  Bally (USA) In storage, working  Very good order, very nice backglass, playfield has one very small wear area, otherwise very nice. Original cabinet is in good order too. A very good machine overall.

NORTH STAR  Gottlieb (USA) Lovely original paintwork & backglass, one of my favourite machines.

PARAGON  Bally (USA) In storage, waiting for restoration  In average condition for age. Electronics will need attention [purchased in non working state] Backglass fair, playfield fair, and a I also have a spare [secondhand] unpopluated one for it too, which is in very nice condition.

PHAROAH  Williams (USA) In storage, waiting for restoration Game is complete, will be requiring work to electronics. Average condition.   I also have a very nice one set up in my gamesroom too.

PLEASURE ISLE  Gottlieb (USA) In storage, waiting for restoration  Possibly one of the most rare 2 player games ever produced, as only 200 or so were built, this one is nice, aside from the cabinet which needs repainting to make it look correct.

ROYAL GUARD  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays! Reproduction backglass now fitted.  One of my all time favourite machines from the late 60's

SHOW BOAT  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, needs some work  Due for restoration in 2009, with a new backglass too.

SILVER  Gottlieb (USA) In storage, waiting for restoration. Needs full restoration, complete with new backglass.

SING ALONG  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, new backglass fitted.

SKYLINE  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays!  Nice original game, now has a set of reproduction playfield plastics to make it really nice.

SLICK CHICK  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays!  Cabinet restored, otherwise original. A real classic Gottlieb pin from the 60's.

SPACE INVADERS  Bally (USA) Set up, needs light work doing to it though.

SPACE SHIP  Williams (USA) Set up, needs some work. This was rescued from a barn in Suffolk, and has had extensive restoration work done to it, I hope to have it working by next spring. Playfield & backglass heve been clearcoated to preserve them. This was the last light-scoring machine produced by WIlliams before they went over to reels.

SPIN A CARD  Gottlieb (USA) Set up & working, very original. I have 3 of these & one needs a backglas if anyone can supply me with one, let me know! Another firm favourite game of mine from the late 60's

SWEETHEARTS  Gottlieb (USA) In storage, working New repro-backglass fitted, cabinet needs some paintwork. This was the last machine produced by Gottlieb with the infamous 'gobble' hole...

TARGET POOL  Gottlieb (USA) In storage, waiting for restoration Maybe Cabinet needs repainting, otherwise pretty good condition.
I have a very good spare playfield for it too. The last of three favourite late 60's machines that I own.

TRADE WINDS  Williams (USA) In storage, waiting for restoration. Complete, original, needs a good clean & setting up.

WORLD FAIR  Gottlieb (USA) Set up, plays! Never My first EM game purchased! I also have a very good spare playfield for it too. Uses the same spinning wheel idea as used on the 2 player Fashion Show.

Now thats what i call a collection!!!! Nice.. Hey how about you put something in the introduction thread and tell us a little about yourself

Thanks for the nice replies Guys.

I have been collecting and restoring machines for some time now, and have been fortunate to buy almost every game that I used to play in my younger days, a definate sign of a mis-spent youth!! The more modern machines were bought so that my children would be more interested, as obviously electronic machines are more of their era. I have to say though the newer games arent really my thing, especially when they go wrong! I am fortunate to own a large house, that is on 3 floors; the top floor is where I keep the main playing machines, and I have my workshop in an adjacent room, so I can maintain the machines easily enough from there. The only trouble of course is that each machine has to be hauled up 3 flights of stairs, but that at least keeps me fit!  Check my website: www.classicpinballs.co.uk from time to time so that you can keep up to date with my stuff!  When I get some time, I'll post a few images of my gamesroom for you.

Yep, one serious collection there. Where do you store them all?

I have 90% inside the house, mainly on the top floor. My Wife is convinced that one day the whole lot is going to come crashing down into the living room.....  The others are in a nice dry storeroom outside.

I've also updated my website today, take a look at the latest restoration job I'm doing: www.classicpinballs.co.uk and click onto the 'Cover girl restoration'

Thanks Steve. I'm going to do some more to the playfield over the weekend, in readiness to clearcoat it, and the backglass while I've got the stuff in the spraygun. I'll get some more images of it on the website asap.
