Flipper spazing out

My shop machines flipper started spazing out when end stroke switch opens. Do recon that's because Of the little diode?

The hold coil is not working.
Probably a broken wire to the terminal, very common
Check it with your MM

so yer you recon its not the little diod, ? ill look for a broken wire. if no broken wire the coil is cactus???

Be pretty rare for the coil to go open in the middle.
The only reason they normally break is due to the weak point created at the terminal solder joint.
Most times you can just unwind it a bit and re-solder.
If it was on the other end that you can't really unwind, them you can try an solder an extension to the broken wire and re-solder that to the terminal, you just have to insulate it where you join it.

No reason to throw out an otherwise fine coil just because the end of the wire has broken.
