More Qlders
« on: February 26, 2009, 12:33:06 AM »
Hi
I lived in Brisbane all my life and bought my first Pinball about 15 years ago (Firepower). Run down heap of junk but after a lot of money and time i had it running ok but the play field was not the best. Next was a Hankin Dennis lillie in Mint condition which i sold to a couple of gay blokes at west end as they really liked Dennis more than the pinball. (wish i had never sold it) ^.^. Third Pin was a Fishtales that I bought back in 99 and due to its age was in great condition but got married and sold it to help get a deposit for a house. Sold everything Pinballs, Hankin Tables and all of the boards and parts i had.  In the last few years i have started collecting Video machines again but due to a career change dont have much time anymore and would love to get my Fishtales back or a Getaway. I have a mate that is going to lend me his Fishtales as it needs to be rebulbed and all of the rubbers replaced the play field cleaned. In exchange for me doing all of the work i can keep it for a while to play at home. Hopefully soon i can post that i have actually bought my own.
Morgage, kids, Bills busted arse like most people in Aust at the moment..
So that me.. site is looking great.. Keep up the good work..

%)% McFly. Money is tight at the moment isn't it? Why not get an older machine like an EM for now?

Yeah thought of that. You mean around early to mid 80's. like Flash, Space invaders etc. Flash was a cool machine and High Speed (bit later though) we use to play a lot of but you seem to pay the same amount for a decent High Speed as you would the Fishtales. High Speed has held their value well but you dont see many anymore that are playable. In the end i think the later machine will get the better of me and i will sell of some of the arcade stuff to fund it..
I will find something to get me started again even if i have to rebuild it and then sell it to get to the later machine..

Welcome McFly, hopefully things will not be too tight too long and you can secure something after you finish with your mate's FT.

Hi All.. Dont post much as i dont own a pinball... It may change.. As with all my arcade machines that i have i will always look for something to rebuild. Not due only to cost but gives you something to do in my spare time rather than just play them. I have found a Street Fighter II that needs cabinet work.. Really needs a total cabint swap. I could just sell a couple of video games and buy a mint pinball but where is the fun in that. Might rebuild it and flog it off and buy something better..

Will post something once i get it...

your FT which was my FT is superior in condition to my FT, I wish your FT was my FT, and my FT was your FT, my FT is still FT, but not wild caught FT like your FT, which was my FT.
