Hmm, State of Origin would be a Rugby League series of 3 games played between Queensland and NSW. Players are eligible to play for their state side based on where they played junior Rugby League.

It is the pinnacle of Rugby League.

Yes, they do.

I was born in Queensland, grew up in NSW, got married in South Australia and ended up in Melbourne.

So I have a deep appreciation for Rugby League, and also enjoy the AFL.

A week after game 1 and NSW are still bitching and moaning about a rule that they created to combat billy slater leading with the boot to stop trys being scored.
 
Even if the try was disalowed it is highly unlikely that the blues would have won anyway.
Keep on whinging blues it is playing right into qld's hands who are preparing solidly for game 2 instead of carrying on like a kid with a skinned knee.

Great win from the Blues, well played.
Some sloppy handling from the maroons but Qld did very well to keep the margin to 4 points and in the end it could have gone either way.
Lets hope the decider in 3 weeks time is as good a spectacle as this game was.

Surprisingly the Blues held on for the win.  How typical of Qld to score right before half time.   

It will be a big call for the Blues to pull off a win in Qld.
